There is a note that says something about upgrading to Notebook 7, but I don't know if it's relevant.
My collaborators aren't seeing this problem and don't even see any actions I could take other that stopping and starting the server on the Control Panel. Looking at other issues here, there are '500 internal database errors' that are related to installing exnetions or tools in the terminal. That could be my problem too.

Hi Keith,
I've reset your python environment. The problem was likely that you installed some package that changed the version of something like jupyter or jupyterlab. If this happens, things get messed up. It must have been something you recently changed.
You may have to (carefully) reinstall packages you need.
